On November 3, the children’s play “The God of Tota Li Tianwang” was staged at the Silk Road Art Theater of Shaanxi Provincial Library (Gaoxin District), bringing endless joy to the children. So far, the 10th Silk Road International Art Festival International Children’s Drama Week has come to a successful conclusion in Xi’an.
The children’s play “The God of Tota Li Tianwang” incorporates the traditional Chinese virtues of punishing evil and promoting good, and upholding justice through story chapters such as “Going to War·Running at Night”, “Getting into Trouble·Escape”, “Traveling·Encounter”, “Struggling·Taking Responsibility”, and “Defeating Zhou·Guardian”. The melodious melody flows slowly, and the plot is gripping; the beautiful stage setting is full of ancient charm, and the exquisite and eye-catching shape interprets the temperament of the characters; the actors’ vivid and vivid performances make the characters in the play vivid.
The audience seemed to have become a member of the story, and they experienced difficulties and challenges together with Li Jing and Nezha. When Li Jing’s lines in the play echoed in the theater, this different image of a strict and kind father is not only a hero in Nezha’s heart, but also a hero in the hearts of all the young audiences present.
According to reports, since the opening of this International Children’s Theater Week on October 19, 11 sets of 28 excellent domestic and foreign children’s plays have appeared on the ancient city stage in turn, bringing a feast of children’s art to the children of Xi’an. In particular, as the result of the 2024 Shaanxi, Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Activity Week, the children’s plays from Macau, “The Naughty Day Care Class” and “The Adventures of Dongzai GO Gao”, with the help of the platform of the Silk Road International Art Festival, fully demonstrated the diverse culture of Macau in the ancient city, and also demonstrated the understanding and interpretation of the excellent traditional Chinese culture by local children’s drama creators, providing a reference for the creation and development of Shaanxi children’s drama.
In addition, the newly added “Children’s Dreams Paint the World, Colors Reflect the Future” International Children’s Art Festival art exchange event at this International Children’s Theatre Week exhibited imaginative works by children from all over the world, reflecting the unique understanding of the diverse world and the imagination of a better future of children growing up in different cultural backgrounds, further enriching the cultural connotation and international influence of the event.
