“It’s so convenient to harvest rice with machines. It really saves time and effort!” The villagers of Jiangjiaping Village, Laoxian Town, Pingli County gathered around the rice fields and watched the rice combine harvester complete the harvesting task neatly under the skilled operation of the agricultural machinery operator. They all expressed such emotion.
During the rice harvest period, the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Group of the Agricultural and Rural Bureau dispatched by the county’s Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision found that some villages had a large rice planting area, high manual harvesting costs, and lack of agricultural machinery operations, resulting in low harvesting efficiency. In response to this situation, the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Group immediately reminded the County Agricultural and Rural Bureau to conduct a comprehensive statistics, quickly coordinate agricultural machinery service organizations, and orderly use combine harvesters to help villagers rush to harvest rice to ensure that rice grains are stored in the warehouse.
This is a vivid epitome of the county’s Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision carrying out centralized rectification and doing practical things for the people. Since the beginning of this year, the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Group stationed in the Agricultural and Rural Bureau has taken the opportunity of carrying out centralized rectification of unhealthy practices and corruption problems around the masses to vigorously promote political supervision
and ensure that various policies for rural revitalization are implemented. In focusing on the unhealthy trends and
corruption issues around the masses in the field of rural revitalization, outstanding problems in the management of rural collective “three assets”, rectification of substandard high-standard farmland quality, squeezing and misappropriation of funds and other key areas, the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Group and the County Agriculture and Rural Bureau often conduct in-depth communication and research, and jointly promote the resolution of outstanding issues that the masses strongly reflect. At the same time, the supervised units are required to strengthen internal management, improve
institutional mechanisms, plug loopholes, prevent risks, and ensure that policies are implemented without compromise and funds are used safely and effectively. So far, 57 urgent and difficult problems of the masses have been solved and 5 long-term mechanisms have been established.
“In the next step, we will use more precise and powerful supervision to promote the standardized and efficient implementation of work such as anti-poverty monitoring and assistance, rural collective “three assets” management, and high-standard farmland construction. Continue to pay close attention to the implementation of various policies for rural revitalization, promptly discover and correct existing problems, and ensure that policy dividends truly benefit the general public.” The person in charge of the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Group of the County Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision stationed in the Agriculture and Rural Bureau said.
